Fred & Joan Long
President of Xpert Venture Designs Corporation is Fred Long. Fred earned his MBA from York University, BA from the University of Western Ontario, and Diploma in Marketing from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.
He was Head of Business Studies at Cobourg District Collegiate Institute in Cobourg, Ontario for twenty-one years. He also taught summer courses for the Faculty of Education at the University of Toronto for ten years.
Fred also served as a replacement for a professor on leave at Sir Sanford Fleming College.
One of Fred's teaching specialties is entrepreneurship.
Fred has served on the board of directors and as a business start-up consultant for the Northumberland Community Futures Development Corporation for the past six years. The Corporation focuses on making loans to small businesses for start up and expansion.
Fred also has extensive background in mass media production and hosting. He and his wife Joan live in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada.
Joan is retired from the Cobourg & District Chamber of Commerce. She volunteers for the Northumberland Hills Hospital and the Art Gallery of Northumberland. She also belongs to the Cobourg Horticultural Society, and is a member of the Probus Club of Cobourg, a group of retired business and professional people.
